Sol G Albert System Metallic Clarinet

This is one type of Turkish instrument which is especially played in the western Turkey. It is used in Turkish Classical Art music and Turkish Folk music. Its tune is SOL. In Turkey especially the gypsies play this instrument.
The clarinet always maintained more popularity to Greek and Armenian music than to Turkish music — even in Turkish fasil and rebetika music, the clarinet players are Greek, Armenian, or Gypsy. Rebetika music uses a G clarinet, lower pitched than Western clarinets. Here, too, there is a unique instrumental style that relates only, perhaps, to gypsy clarinet playing.
